By living in Ozark for 35 years, Ms. Quessenberry has developed many strong relationships with the leaders in our community. She believes that the partnerships that have been gained between leaders of the Ozark Schools, the City of Ozark and the Chamber of Commerce are key to the progress and success of this strong community.  With a business administration degree from Missouri State University, Quessenberry is able to use her expertise to keep the district responsible and financially sound. Ms. Quessenberry is proud to have lead the Ozark Board to receive the Missouri School Board Association Outstanding Board of Education Award for Governance, Leadership and Accountability for 2016.  She also enjoys serving as the president of the board of directors for the Christian County Library Foundation, a member of CCCC Sertoma and an inaugural member of Ozark's Impact 100. Ms. Quessenberry was recently named as one of the Springfield Business Journal's 20 Most Influential Women for 2016.  Ms. Quessenberry is encouraged that "Ozark School District is known as one of the best forward-thinking districts in the state of Missouri, with the use of technology from Pre-K through the 12th grade, while providing the best education to equip all students with the skills to succeed after graduation. Ms. Orr, as a fifth-generation Ozark resident, knows there is nothing more important than our schools.  Orr’s grandfather and mother were previous school board members and they instilled a strong value of education in her from a very young age. She graduated from Ozark High in 1987 and proceeded to get her Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University in 1991. Ms. Orr is owner and operator of Adams Funeral Home in Ozark and Nixa.  Currently she enjoys serving on the board of Finley River Community Foundation (scholarship and grants committees,) OzarkLeads committee and Care to Learn Ozark Advisory Committee.  In 2016 Ms. Orr helped found Impact 100 Ozark and is a board member.  Previously Ms. Orr has served on the Ethics Committee for Missouri Funeral Directors Association. Orr is also a member of National Funeral Directors Association, Missouri Funeral Directors Association, Ozark and Nixa Area Chambers of Commerce and Ozark Schools PTA. "I have learned so much in the past several years on the Ozark School Board.  I am more excited than ever about the future of Ozark Schools!"

Aaron Johns is a fifth-generation Ozark resident who considers it an honor to give back to his school and community. He believes the Ozark educational experience helped prepare him to graduate from Missouri State University with a degree in agriculture business. Johns is actively involved in the Ozark community and enjoys supporting the school activities. With 25 years of management experience, he is a valuable asset for the board. Johns is excited to be able to help provide students with the best learning tools and give them the skills to compete in the job market while providing our entire staff with modern working environments and instructional tools that will help them excel with our kids within each building.

Mr. Bass chose to join the board “in order to serve in my community and to help provide children with the best possible education.” He has lived in Ozark for 13 years and owns a home and business here.  He has his master’s degree in criminal justice administration. With his extensive management and executive background, Mr. Bass is able to provide valuable insight to the board. He believes that “we are positioned for a strong financial future in the district, and we will seek to be the best overall district we can be.”  Tom Bass

Mr. Hedgpeth has been an Ozark resident since 2005, as his family has resided in the Ozarks for generations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Human Resources Management and a Master of Business Administration from Missouri State University. Mr. Hedgpeth brings several years of human resources professional experience to his role on the Ozark School Board. Mr. Hedgpeth also serves as a volunteer board member for CU Community Credit Union, Harmony House and the Missouri State University Alumni Association Strategic Planning Committee. He feels that giving back to the community is an important piece to being an engaged citizen, and he believes that a strong public school system is the foundation to maintaining a great community. "I feel privileged to serve the already-excellent Ozark School District in this capacity."  Mr. Hedgpeth and his wife, Amanda, have three children.

Jeff Laney has called Ozark home for 35 years. Laney graduated from Ozark in 1992 before obtaining his bachelor's degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 1996 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri - Columbia, School of Law in 2000. Laney is a partner at Haden, Cowherd & Bullock, LLC where he has practiced since 2002. He and his family are members at First Baptist Church of Ozark and he enjoys coaching his sons' youth sports. Laney commented, “I am looking forward to giving back to the school and community that have given so much to me.” Laney and his wife, Dawn, have three sons.

Mr. Nelson has been an Ozark resident since 2002. He graduated from Cabool High School in 1986 and attended Missouri State University.  He has worked in Ozark since 1993 and is the owner and operator of Ozark Abstract & Title.  Mr. Nelson is very active in the community and is currently a member of the Board for the Ozark Fire Protection District and Ozark Rotary Club.  In the past, he has served as Mayor of Ozark, Chairman of the Ozark Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, President of Rotary, Care to Learn Ozark Advisory Board member and board member of the Catholic Business Network of the Ozarks. He volunteers with Care to Learn on several of their projects and sponsors the New Teacher Luncheon each year.  Mr. Nelson and his wife, Carrie, have one daughter who attends Ozark Middle School. “I am honored to have been selected to serve on the Board and am happy to lend my talents to help continue the excellence of the Ozark School District.”
