Kindergarten Screening
Kindergarten Screening

Children learn and develop — academically, socially and physically — at different paces. That's why having your child participate in kindergarten screening is so important. 

Kindergarten screening is free to any child in Ozark School District who will be 5 years old on or before July 31. You can register by calling the elementary school your child will attend.

Did you know we have six School Resource Officers who are fully commissioned with the Christian County Sheriff's Office? Combined, our school police has more than 170 years of public safety service. Safety of our students and staff are their top priority.

Bond Update

in spring 2023 we broke ground on three new storm shelters, thanks to voter approval of a $19 million no-tax-increase bond issue in April 2022. We made a lot of progress on these shelters at Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center, Ozark Middle School and Ozark High School over the summer.

Board of Education

The Ozark Board of Education is committed to the well-being of each staff member and student while supporting the mission and vision of the school district. School Board meetings are open to the public and are generally the third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Ozark Innovation Center.

Storm-Proofing Success: Ozark School District Unveils New Middle School Storm Shelter, Classrooms & Office

Ozark Middle School was filled with laughter, joy and singing on March 8, 2024 as the Ozark community, state and local representatives, school and District staff and OMS choir students gathered to cut the official ribbon for the OMS storm shelter, classrooms, offices and new entrance.

Hedgecorth

The Ozark Board of Education voted to hire Robert Hedgecorth as the Executive Director of Finance & Business Operations at a special meeting March 4. The finance position became available following the hiring of Dr. Lori Wilson as the District’s superintendent in December. Wilson had been serving in dual roles as interim superintendent and chief financial officer.

They’ve Got Spirit Yes They Do: Junior High STUCO Creating a Culture of Spirit and Success with Monthly Assemblies

Once a month the halls of Ozark Junior High explode into a rainbow of colors, boas and props as students make their way to the gym for their monthly spirit assembly. The assemblies — usually chock-full of games, recognitions, chants and some friendly competition — are aimed at increasing student engagement and general school spirit.
